Description:
Les tests génétiques du locus agouti détectent les variants du gène ASIP, soit Ay, aw, at et a. Ils permettent de déterminer si un chien est porteur génétique de l'allèle Ay responsable de la couleur sable ou fauve (Ay/Ay, Ay/aw, Ay/at ou Ay/a), ou de l'allèle aw responsable de la robe "loup"/, sable, grise ou agouti (aw/aw, aw/at ou aw/a). L'allèle at produit le phénotype noir et feu, tricolore ou ¨tan point¨ (at/at ou at/a). L'allèle ¨a¨ ne permet pas l'expression du gène agouti conduisant à un pelage noir uni (a/a).
